Why Hemp?  Hemp is extremely versatile and can grow in almost any climate with very small amounts of water. Hemp plants use ½ the water of cotton to produce twice the amount of fiber.  Hemp is much kinder to the Earth than conventionally grown cotton. Although cotton is a natural fiber, it is doused in pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. Conventional cotton poses threats to health, water and agricultural-worker safety.  Hemp grows fast and needs little irrigation AND is grown without pesticides or herbicides. Its deep roots anchor and aerate the soil in which it’s grown. Hemp produces more fiber per acre than trees, cotton or flax. Hemp is also naturally resistant to mold and ultraviolet light and is highly breathable.
